Specific risk disclosure regarding use of stops

Stops used in our trading systems operated through ZuluTrade and C2 are discretionary stops which may be removed at any time and for any reason at the sole discretion of TFP. For the purposes of clarification, STOPS do not guarantee a capped loss for a trade and the actual loss can exceed the amount set by the STOP. Further particulars regarding stops used on our systems operated on ZuluTrade and C2 is set out below.

ZuluTrade

Based on the historical track record of TheForexPortal signal provider account on ZuluTrade, since its inception to 20 May 2015, the average loss per losing trade is -38.97 pips. As noted above, our STOP is a discretionary STOP and thus the loss for certain trades has exceeded the initial maximum STOP of -40 pips. The largest loss for a single trade since the introduction of my custom made indicator in December 2014 is -147.8 pips. A full record of all trades (including the profit and loss made for each trade) is available at ZuluTrade.

In periods of high volatility and widening spreads the STOP in some cases may be removed in order that a trade is not prematurely closed. This can be a high risk strategy as should the price surge against the trade then the trade could lose considerably more than 40 pips.

It must always be remembered that trading carries considerable risks and although every effort is taken to reduce risks they nevertheless do exist. There is a feature built into ZuluTrade called ZuluGuard. STOPS can be manually changed, entered or removed and parameters set to safeguard your account.

Collective2

Although STOPS are usually applied to all Collective2 trades in normal conditions, they are discretionary and maybe removed if circumstances demand. Because the trades on Collective2 are designed to be more long term than those trades on ZuluTrade, the STOPS reflect the nature of this trading method. As a result STOPS can be in excess of 200 pips.
